ABOUT THE PROJECT
Every day, as educators, we come in contact with so many students. If you are like me, a class teacher & a subject teacher, every year you will be handling at least 400 students on a weekly basis. Needless to say, teachers have a huge influence on their students’ life -
they shape the way their students perceive the world.
Hence I call upon all #EDUheroes to come together & help spread awareness virtually about ways in which we can fight against COVID-19 in our homes, our classrooms, our schools & our communities.
Think about it! - even if we can influence just our own children, & they share it with friends & communities, multiply by the number of countries we represent & we are bound to make an impact, no matter how small! -
In an ocean, every drop counts.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
I'm Kamal Preet - A Lifelong learner, Mum and a Middle-School Science Educator from Bangalore, India. I'm also a National Geographic Certified Educator and I have been closely associated with Microsoft.
I'm passionate about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and since we have only 10 years to achieve the crucial targets, we must ACT NOW. This year, my goal was to sensitize students to develop solutions to the most pressing problems - Climate Change & Plastic Pollution.
But that changed with COVID-19, now I am going to reach out to every EDUhero I know & with them, we will reach every student we can, to make the students aware of how they can stay safe & protect themselves & their families.
The focus is now the need of the hour
